Dominic Dorisio Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mathis Funeral Home - Medford on Jan. 3, 2025.
Dominic R. Dorisio, age 88, of Medford, NJ, passed away while surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 27, 2024.
Dominic was a great person, a very loving husband, father and grandfather, and was equally loved by everyone in return. Dom knew how to have fun and how to make people smile, his mere entrance would light up the room. He truly made family gatherings and parties so much more entertaining. Dom retired from Ole Hansen and Sons Inc. and prior to that he worked many years at Eastern Non-Ferrous Foundry in Philadelphia. He was also extremely caring and would help anyone in time of need. In his leisure he loved to dance, sing and enjoyed listening to music. Dom's happy place though was spending many hours working in his yard, driving his John Deere and making sure everything looked perfect. He had a great passion for the shore; he enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing and having a relaxing day on the water. Dom also delighted in spending time with his friends and playing cards. But above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and will be deeply missed by those he leaves behind.
Dominic was predeceased by his loving wife Alice Dorisio; his parents Martha and Anthony Sr.; son Bruce Bunning; and his siblings, Anthony Dorisio Jr., Marie Mattio and Loretta Downs. He is survived by his children, Laurie Dorisio, Sandra DiMaio (Ronald, predeceased), Susan Atkinson (Robert Gardner); Daughter-in-law, Diane Bunning; grandchildren, Earl Braddock Jr. (Tara), Bruce Bunning (Peg), Bryan Atkinson (Janis); seven great-grandchildren; sister, Tina Reilly; along with several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7th and again on Wednesday, January 8th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, immediately followed by the funeral service, all at Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main Street, Medford, NJ. Interment will follow at Medford Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Dominic's name may be made to Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge at Ways to Give - Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge or American Lung Association.
