Robert Dorisio

Robert Dorisio, 81, of Wheeling died on March 29, 2026. He was born July 28, 1944, in Uniontown, PA, the son of the late Alphonse and Matilda (Rotundo) Dorisio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ellen Marchione and Clara Jean Dorisio.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Jane (Nolan) Dorisio and two sons, Andrew (Emily) of Nicholasville, KY, and Michael of Pittsburgh, and three granddaughters Sophia, Emma, and Allison.

He is a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Viet Nam war. A graduate of West Liberty University, he worked as a medical technologist in the clinical laboratory at Wheeling Hospital for forty years, the last twenty years as its Administrative Laboratory Director.

He enjoyed cooking, making wine, genealogy research, and vegetable gardening.

Private services have been entrusted to Altmeyer Funeral Homes Elm Grove Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
