Alice Rebecca Grove

Alice Rebecca Grove, a cherished matriarch and pillar of her community, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on November 25, 1935, in Springfield Township, Alice's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and lifelong dedication to her family, faith, and profession.
Alice was the beloved wife of the late Dale A. Grove Jr., with whom she shared many cherished years. She was the treasured daughter of the late Gilbert Boyer and Helen Schrantz. Her greatest joy came from her family. Alice was the devoted mother of Dale A. Grove III and his wife Gloria, Timothy Todd Grove and his wife Rebecca, and Michael Thomas Grove and his wife Jennifer. She was a loving and guiding presence to her grandchildren, Matthew, Sabrina, Nathaniel, and Andrew, who will forever carry her warmth and wisdom in their hearts.
A proud member of the Palisades High School Class of 1953, Alice went on to graduate from St. Luke's School of Nursing in 1956. She served as a compassionate registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital, touching countless lives with her skill and kindness. Later, she brought that same caring spirit to her husband's medical office, where patients felt not only treated but cared for.
Alice had many interests and her enthusiasm was contagious. She sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and delighted visitors as a tour guide for Historic Bethlehem, sharing her deep love of history. An avid reader, she spent many hours reading classical literature books. On the tennis court and golf course she was a spirited competitor-capping her golfing accomplishments with a memorable hole-in-one.
She is survived by her sons, Dale A. Grove III and his wife Gloria, Timothy Todd Grove and his wife Rebecca, and Michael Thomas Grove and his wife Jennifer; her beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Sabrina, Nathaniel, and Andrew; her brother, Calvin Boyer and his wife Deb; her sisters, Gloria Preusse and her husband Richard, Gertrude Logan and her husband Bob, and Lucille Litke and her husband Bill; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dale A. Grove Jr.; her parents, Gilbert Boyer and Helen Schrantz; and her brother, Benjamin Boyer.
Services: A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 18th at 11 AM at Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St, Bethlehem, PA 18018. A calling hour will occur at 10 AM until the start of the service. Following the services, a burial will take place at Bethlehem Memorial Park,1851 Linden St, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
