On March 25, 2022, Alice Ippolito passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Alice, 73, was born in Havertown, PA and a 1966 graduate of Havertown High School. Following her high school graduation she attended Philadelphia College of Art where she met some of her closest friends and fully embraced the true peaceful activist spirit of the times. During her time at PCA, she also met and married the love of her life, Anthony Ippolito.
Alice was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, friend, neighbor, and champion for many in need. She was always the first to offer a meal, a home, or a compassionate word. She helped friends in trouble, the vulnerable, the homeless, and the hungry. Her selflessness and compassion guaranteed that none left her house without food, a home, or even a shoulder to cry on.
She was a true animal advocate. She had an innate love for animals and cared for many strays over the years, from dogs to cats to rabbits. Her house never lacked life, energy, and love for all creatures, big and small.
Art school was never far from her heart. Her home was adorned with art lovingly created from generations before and after her. At any given time, one could find a crayon to color and countless painting supplies in her home.
Her home is inundated with family pictures as her family was the fire that kept her going. Her brothers (George and Dan), sister (Margo), sisters-in-law (Dot and Joan), and many nieces and nephews were always in her thoughts. Above all else, she loved being a grandparent. Known as Grammy to her grandchildren, they rejoiced at the time spent with her painting, sewing, cooking, and drawing.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Ippolito, who passed away on April 26, 2020. She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Bruce), Brian (Karin), and Nicole (Dan), her grandchildren Katie, Matt, Steven, Daniel, Anastasia, and Abigail.
Her absence has left a void in our hearts. Her love for her family was immeasurable and her legacy of love, kindness, and giving will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at The Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on Monday April 25th at 2:30pm. All guest are asked to arrive 15 minutes early, and shall proceed to lane B. Masks may be required so please have one handy. A celebration gathering will be held at the family home immediately following the service at 26 Ferber Lane in Palm Coast, FL.
