Alice L. Johnson, 77, of Clyde, surrounded by family, died at her home on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
Alice was born in North Fairfield, Ohio on October 2, 1947 to the now deceased Lenora (Hurlbert) and Charles Felter.
In 1966 she graduated from Fremont Ross High School. She had worked at the former Claus Cutlery, First Choice and was a school bus drive.
Mrs. Johnson loved auctions, garage sales and the Tiffin flea market. Her special talent, however, was being a grandmother! Every Friday, all four of the grandchildren would spend the night at Grandma and Grandpa's house making many wonderful memories.
On October 7, 1968, she married Gary L. Johnson. The celebrated 56 years of marriage this year. He, along with a son, Jeffrey Johnson (Jennifer Culbertson) of Tiffin survive. The four grandchildren, Tori (Neal) Owen, Taylor (Nick) Schneider, Cody (Morgan) Johnson and Lexi (Tim) Weiss and five great grandchildren survive as well. One sister, Juanita Thoss lives in Clyde.
Alice was preceded in death by a son, Greg Johnson and brothers, Edward Felter, Chales Felter, Jr. Mary Dick, Sydney Eads and Paul Eads.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Noon at McPherson Cemetery. A time to celebrate Alice's life will be on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from Noon until 3:00pm at the Clyde Eagles.
Memorials may be made in memory of Alice to St. Jude's Children.
