Alice Josephine Krzak (née Krakowiak), 82, of New Lenox, Illinois, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, at Northwestern Medicine Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights, Illinois. Alice was born in Chicago to the late Thomas and Anna (née Paszkowski) Krakowiak. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter E. Krzak, Sr.; loving mother of Walter E. Krzak, Jr., Elizabeth A. (Thomas Gallinger) Krzak, and Andrew G. (Erika Hobbs) Krzak; dear sister of the late Edward (late Helen) Krakowiak; loved aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, cousin and friend to many. Alice graduated from Rosary College in River Forest, Illinois, with a master’s degree in library science. She later retired from the Lisle Public Library in Illinois, where she served as head of youth services. Creatively gifted, she enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, painting, drawing, storytelling and writing. Her kind will not be seen again.
