Mrs. Alice Faye Lavely, age, 72 of Shepherdsville, Ky returned to her Heavenly Father on Friday, November 29, 2024. Alice was born on September 5, 1952, to the late Hubert Powell and Martha (Wright) Powell. Alice was a dedicated and caring registered nurse; she retired from St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital after 48 years of service. She enjoyed listening to 60's music, loving on her grandchildren, and keeping Jesus first and foremost in her life. Alice will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her late husband of 43 years Gary Lavely, son James Hodge, granddaughter Cara Franko, stepfather Harry Greenwell.
She is survived by her daughter Kerry Graham, grandchildren Abby Graham, Austin Graham (Sherry), Corey Graham, Zach Hodge, Ali Young, Renee Wales, greatgrandchildren Julie May Graham, Holliston Franko, Micah Franko, London Franko, Emalinn Franko, Alaynah Hodge, Jamison Hodge, Colden Franko, Erin Schroader, siblings Brenda Singleton, Rosie Perkins (Mike), Carol Gootee, Mitch Powell, David Greenwell (Kathy), along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins and other dear family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (4895 N. Preston Hwy, at John Harper Freeway). Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
