Alice Faye Lear, 79, passed away on November 26, 2024. She was born on October 31, 1945, in Cheraw, SC, to the late John Henry Sweatt and the late Emma Julia Cagle.
Faye was a member of Cheraw Pentecostal Holiness Church had a deep love for gospel music. An avid reader, she cherished works by authors such as Misty M. Beller, Karen Kingsbury, and Gilbert Morris. Additionally, she enjoyed watching game shows.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Emma Cagle McDonald; father, John Henry Sweatt; stepfather, John McDonald; and brothers, Cecil Henry Sweatt, Johnny Mack Sweatt, and Ronnie Sweatt.
Faye leaves behind her son, Lee Lear (Ricky Tisdale) of Galivants Ferry, SC; her daughter, Tammy Bullock of Bennettsville, SC; grandchildren Tammy-Jo Anna Harp (Clay) of Tatum, SC, and Chelsea Erin Bear (Zachary) of Ludlow, KY; along with her niece, Yolanda Matt (George) of Lansing, MI.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Kiser Funeral Home. Friends are invited to visit the family from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Kiser Funeral Home has been entrusted with serving the Lear family during this time of grief.
