Alice E. (Fournier) Letellier, age 101, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Omer E. Letellier, Sr. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Zepherin (Metevier) Fournier.
A natural caretaker, Alice not only cared for her children but also her husband, Omer after he suffered a debilitating injury during a baseball game. She loved to sew and walk and in her younger years dance on Thursday and Saturday nights at the German Hall in Pawtucket. As the matriarch of a large family and a witness to a century of transformation throughout the world, her values and love for those she cared about never wavered.
Alice was the devoted mother of Omer 'Butch' E. Letellier, Jr., Katherine Eaton and the late Robert Letellier and Raymond Letellier; cherished 'Mem' of Melissa, Katie, Angie, Brenda, Kyle, Jennifer, David and Frank; and great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother to many children who were fortunate to witness her legacy. She was the grandmother of the late Jason DiResto and sister of the late Patricia LaPierre.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 10:30am in St. Theresa of the Child Church, 18 Baltic St., Attleboro, MA 02703. She will be laid to rest in the family plot in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Joe Andruzzi, 49 Plain St., Suite 500, North Attleboro, MA 02760 or www.joeandruzzifoundation.org will be greatly appreciated.
