Alice Lynch Obituary

She was born in Detroit, on June 21, 1930 to Paul and Marie (Trischler) Dost. Alice grew up in Silverwood, and married Thomas Lynch on March 7, 1950 in Saginaw. Together, they built a life on their farm near Mayville, where Alice worked as a beautician, bringing warmth and care to many. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life- gardening, baking for friends and family, sewing, and singing in her church choir. Alice had a love for the Detroit Tigers, cherished family fishing trips to Canada, and enjoyed lively card games with loved ones and spending time with her family.
Alice is survived by her children, Penny Wallace and Bill Bornor of Okemos, Kenneth and Karen Lynch of Mayville, and Perry Lynch of Mayville; grandchildren, Christen and Jason Koenigsknecht of Troy, Melanie Wallace and Sean Sanford of East Lansing, Brian and Rebekah Lynch of Traverse City, Amanda Wallace of Arvada, Colorado and Benjamin and Lyssa Lynch of Mayville; great grandchildren, Finn Sanford, Ava, Carter, Hudson, and Griffin Koenigsknecht, Brigham and Baylor Lynch, and Nolan, Penelope and Gwendolyn Lynch. Alice is also lovingly remembered by her sisters in law, Joann Dost of Silverwood and Erlinda Dost of Mayville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas (Tim) Lynch; son, Thomas Jr. Lynch; parents, Paul and Marie Dost; siblings, Virginia Beedle and Charles Beedle, Paul (Freida) Dost, Harold Dost, Betty (Wilbur) Norrington, Donald (Sara) Dost and Duane Dost.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Louise Beecher, Alice's dear friend and caregiver, for her loving support.
Alice's resilience, hospitality, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
The family will receive visitors from 3-8 PM on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Avram Funeral Home and from 10-11 AM on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 503 S State St, Caro.
A Funeral Service will be 11 AM on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro, MI.
Interment will take place in Fremont Township Cemetery.
Memorials in her honor may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Caro or the Loyal Order of the Moose in Caro.
