Alice Jean Baxter Mash, 86, longtime resident of the Kettle Mills Community in Hampshire, died Friday, June 6, 2025 at Life Care Center of Columbia.
A private graveside service was conducted at Baxter Cemetery. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born November 22, 1938 in Maury County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Mora Baxter Sr. and the late Addie Bishop Baxter. On September 16, 1955 she married Glenn Douglas Mash, Sr., who preceded her in death on April 9, 2017. Mrs. Mash enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored. She was a member of Southpoint Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children, Glenn (Janie) Mash, Jr, Terry Gene Mash, Bridgett Mash (Kent) Romine all of the Kettle Mills Community; granddaughters, Stephenie Page, Jennifer (Jason) Johns, Glenda (Russell) Wages; and great grandchildren, Jed Page, Sadie Page, Jackson Johns, Jonah Johns, Robbie Wages, and Suzanne Wages.
In addition to her parents and her husband of 61 years, Glenn Mash Sr., she was preceded in death by her sister, June Baxter Flanigan; and brother, Mora Baxter Jr.
Active pallbearers were Terry Mash, Glenn Mash Jr., Jed Page, Jason Johns, Jackson Johns, Jonah Johns, and Russell Wages.
