Alice Marie Miller

Alice Marie Miller was born on March 8, 1944, at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA to Mattie Hart of New Orleans and Allen Gurry of Monroe, LA. She was raised by her great-grandmother Mrs. Lou Ella Polk in Gulfport, MS. She attended and graduated in 1962 from 33rd High School in Gulfport, MS. After graduation, she met and married Freddie Miller, Sr. (Keesler Air Force Base); moved to and lived in Chester, PA for a short period of time. To their union, they produced two sons, Warren David Miller and Freddie Miller, Jr. She was baptized and grew up in AOH Church of God in Christ. She enjoyed going to church, fellowshipping with her friends, and traveling to visit and celebrate her grandchildren.

She was a domestic worker at Broadwater Hotel, in Biloxi, she served as an Administrative Assistant at Frank Hines Transmission Shop in Gulfport and completed her career as a bus driver for the local HeadStart Program.

Being the oldest of six children, she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Freddie F. Miller, Sr.; son, Freddie F. Miller, Jr.; two brothers, Tommie Harvey and Joe Lee Daughtery.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted son, Warren D. Miller (Tracey) of Stone Mountain, GA. Along with seven grandchildren, Nina Fuller, Chesnee and Tristen Miller, Ebony Presley, Jimmy, Jasmine and Ruediecmone Miller; and two great grandchildren, Peyton and Malia. Her sisters, Carolyn Harvey-Antioch, CA, Mary Dorrough (Raymond);and brother Luther Harvey–Long Beach, MS, and a host of other family members, neighbors and friends.
