Carylon Miller

Carylon Miller passed away at home on November 2, 2025 at the age of 88, to be with her heavenly family. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Olga Writer and the wife of Stanton Miller, to whom she celebrated their 51st anniversary this past August.
She is survived by her husband Stanton and Aunt Charlotte Bennett and nephews Larry and Wade Bennett and Brother-in Laws Eugene Miller, Michael Miller and his wife Dawn, Terry Miller and his wife Peggy. Sister-in Laws Marilyn Weaver and her husband Lewis and Teresa Wisner, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her brother Jerry predeceased her a month and a half earlier and her Uncle Arthur Bennett almost three months earlier.
She worked a number of years as a Department Manager for Kmart, especially enjoying the traveling trips to help open new stores in the northern East Coast; she then worked in various production jobs for 15 years and retired from GTE Sylvania in1989.
Her main past-time enjoyment was spent learning and teaching Middle Eastern Dance. Honing her skills, she traveled to Egypt a number of times and extensively to teachers on the East Coast. She and her husband enjoyed Ballroom Dancing to live bands in central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland as members of The York Cotillion, Syncopation, and Phoenix Dance Clubs.
Arrangements are made with John W. Keffer Funeral Homes, 2114 West Market St, York, Pa. 17404. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30am Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the funeral home. The funeral service will begin at 10:30am with Deacon Steve Pichler as celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery.
