Alice E. Pitts age 89, of Saint George lsland, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at her residence. She was born February 3, 1936 to Willie Thomas Wallace and Ethel Carter Wallace in Leon County, Florida. She was a long time resident of Tallahassee being employed by the phone company. She then retired and started a bait, tackle and hardware store on Saint George Island. Once again, retiring and moving to Sebring, Florida with her husband Andrew “Gus” Pitts. Then again, returning to Saint George Island after the passing of her husband. She attended Redemption Point Church of God in Eastpoint, Florida.
She was survived by her only son, Gary W Pitts Sr. of Tallahassee and Sebring Florida, Grandson Gary W Pitts Jr. of Palm Harbor, Florida, Granddaughter Tracy R. Gillikin of East Point, Florida. She had 4 great grandchildren Mareena Pitts, Isla Pitts, Tyler Gillikin and Oceana Gillikin.
Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Comforter Funeral Home in Port Saint Joe. A celebration of life will be arranged at a later date in East Point, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, you may donate to Hospice, Redemption Point Church of God, or Highland Park Community Church of Apalachicola, Florida.
