Alice B. Rowley, age 90, of Shelton, entered into rest on Monday, July 21, 2025, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport. Alice was born in Bridgeport on February 14, 1935, daughter of the late George and Alice (McGuire) Barker, and she lived in Ansonia for most of her life before moving to Shelton 30 years ago.
She worked as a Blade Manufacturer for Sikorsky Aircraft for over 20 years before her retirement. Alice was fond of puzzles and word search games and playing slots on her kindle. She was excited to play scratch-offs and loved coloring easter eggs with her family. She also loved watching her garden. Above all, she was devoted to her family and loved to spend time with them. Also enjoyed going to the opera with her brother John and his companion Paul.
She is the beloved mother of Eileen Clericuzio (Tony), Donald Perkins (Carol), Patty Sayers (Raymond), and Mary Chris Luke (Reggie), and leaves twelve cherished grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandaugter. She is also survived by a brother, John "Jack" Barker, a sister, Gertrude O'Connell, and a daughter-in-law Bonnie Perkins. Alice was predeceased by two sons, Robert Perkins and Michael Rowley, five brothers, George, William, Edward, Richard, and Raymond, and two sisters, Alice C. Barker and Margaret Donovan. She also leaves behind her cherished furry companions, Miss Maple and Zoey, and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Friday from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. Her funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM in the parlor.
At the request of the family, memorial contributions are encouraged to the Shriner's Hospital and the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
