Hurricane, Utah – Olga Dorene Warr Rowley passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025. Dorene was born March 7, 1926, to Leslie William Warr and Olga Christina Allen Warr. Dorene lived most of her life in Granger, Utah surrounded by her loving parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was the oldest sibling and last to survive her 3 sisters and 1 brother. Dorene enjoyed roller skating and met her future husband, Clye Lance Rowley at the S&M Roller Rink on Redwood Road. Dorene and Clye were married February 1, 1944, in Salt Lake City while Clye was on leave from the Navy during World War II. Soon to follow were children Jerry Clye, Darel Lee, and Lisa. Family outings of camping, boating, snowmobiling, and never missing the opening day of fishing season were highlights enjoyed with family and friends including lifelong friends Ruth and Ernie Andrus and their family. Dorene and Clye first built a garage house on property in Granger gifted to them by Dorene's parents as a wedding present. From the garage house Mom and Dad built our family home which they lived in until 1995 when they relocated to
Hurricane, Utah. While raising her family, Mom always kept busy with handiwork by having a quilt on in the living room, crocheting, and later always making something to be given with love to grandchildren and other family members. Holidays were celebrated with Easter Egg Hunts in the backyard, family cookouts at the cabin in Beaver Springs Ranch above Oakley, Utah, and Christmas with homemade candies and goodies. Mom worked some summers at Lambert's Greenhouse and kept the yard in magnificent care. From 1995, Mom and Dad enjoyed living in the warmer climate of Hurricane and always welcomed family and friends who visited. Mom loved playing games: Pokeno, Golf…the card game for a $1.00 win, and Bingo (with prizes of course) were some of her favorite past times while enjoying the grandkids and great grandkids. Mom looked forward to sharing weekly dinners at Triple TJ's Café in Hurricane with special granddaughter Jodi Webster and whomever came to town to visit. Mom is preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Marion Wiliams, Allen Warr, JoAnn Williams, and Louise Carter; husband, Clye, sharing a true love story of 72 years of marriage; son, Darel; and daughters-in-law: Sandra and Elaine. Mom is survived by sister-in-law, Bessie Warr; son Jerry; daughter, Lisa (Andrew) Irwin; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Primrose Retirement Communities who cared for Mom as she recovered from a fall and was no longer able to live independently on her own. Special thanks to Becca from Atlas Homecare and Hospice for her help and gentle care shown to our Mom. The family would also like to thank special granddaughter, Jodi Webster, for the attentive tender care shown to Mom. Mom loving referred to Jodi as her Angel. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hurricane City Cemetery, 255 East 600 North,
Hurricane, Utah.
