Jesse Rowley

Jesse Deloy Rowley, 61, passed away Sept. 8 2025 in his home in Milford, UT. Jesse was born October 3, 1963 in Milford to James William Rowley and Billie Ann Carter Rowley.

Jess, as he preferred to be called, grew up in Milford alongside his sister, Dawn. They were very close and Jess was always the protective older brother to her.

He graduated from Milford High School where he met the love of his life, Jodi Larsen. He'd harbored a crush on her from the age of 13 until 17 when he finally got her attention.

He joined the National Guard right out of high school and they continued their relationship through letters.

They got married on February 18, 1984 and had their first child, a daughter by the name of Chelsea Marie Rowley, followed by a boy, Jesse Deloy Rowley Jr., four years later.

Jesse was a family man and very involved in raising his children. He would have nightly wrestling matches, play Lego and watch movies with them. Every once in a while, he would even have a dance party with them and their friends.

On top of being a good dad, he was an even better husband, making sure Jodi was always taken care of.

Jess always loved tinkering out in his shed. He liked to make things for his kids while also fixing and upgrading things around the house.

He always made time to help family and friends. Jess enjoyed helping others and being their go to person. He loved having family barbecues, especially his annual birthday barbecue which he got to share with his granddaughter for the last 16 years.

His grandchildren became his favorite people when they were born. He loved to buy them treats from the gas station and have them stay for sleepovers. He was just as good at being a "Papa" as being a father. He loved his family so much and they knew it.

Jess is survived by his wife, Jodi Larsen Rowley and daughter, Chelsea Rowley, both of Milford, UT and son, Jesse "JD" Rowley Jr (Jessica) of West Valley City, UT, sister Dawn Hare (Garry) of Milford, UT, granddaughter Paislee Rose and grandson, Kash Rose, both of Milford, UT.

He was preceded in death by his mother Billie Ann Carter Rowley and father James William Rowley.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025 at 11:00am at Southern Utah Mortuary in Milford, UT. A viewing will be held at 9:30am - 10:30am, also at Southern Utah Mortuary in Milford, UT.
