Loraine Swartz

Loraine Swartz, age 83, entered peacefully into eternal rest at the SECU Hospice House in NC on April 14, 2025 with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late James Swartz. She was born in Milford, CT to the late Walter and Helen (Lesniak) Burnaka on April 11, 1942. She grew up in Orange, CT and then became a resident of Shelton, CT. In her final years she lived with her daughter in NC. She held several jobs over the years including Sikorsky Aircraft, where she met her loving husband, and Swiss Army Brands. Prior to retirement she enjoyed being a physical therapy aide at Lord Chamberlain. She was the loving mother of 4 children, grandmother of 12 and Great-Grandmother of 6. She loved spending time with family & cooking wonderful family dinners. Her Apple pie was a family favorite!

Her Great Grandchildren: Michaela Butler, Kristofer Swartz, Kyler Nguyen, Vivienne Swartz, Daniella Loraine Lovallo, and Nolan Marsilio
Her beloved nieces: Karen (Kevin) Kubicko and Peggy (Michael) Sanko
She was predeceased by her grandsons: Timothy Swartz and Joseph Constantino IV, her sister, Virginia (Robert) Sanko, her brother, Walter Burnaka Jr. and her nephew, Michael Sanko
Her funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday July 26, 2025 in Riverside Cemetery, 320 River Rd. Shelton.
The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton are entrusted with the local arrangements.
