Sulphur- Alice Bean Schexnailder, 99, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018, in Dickinson, Texas.
She was a native of Morgan City and had been a resident of Sulphur for 50 years before moving to Seabrook, Texas in 2004. Alice was a member of Maplewood United Methodist Church and volunteered as a Pink Lady with the Ladies Auxiliary of West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, and was a member of the Calcasieu Cut Ups quilting guild.

Survivors include her daughter, Judy Rountree and husband, Joe of League City, Texas; her son, E. Paul Schexnailder and wife, Kathy, of Corpus Christi, Texas; her sister, Jean Whipp of Walnut Creek, California; three grandchildren, Kelley Restemyer and husband, Kurt, Elizabeth Schexnailder and husband, Aaron, and Suzanne Trumble; and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl P. Schexnailder; and two siblings, Charles F. Bean and Nell Wilkes.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 25, in Maplewood United Methodist Church. The Rev. Andy Goff will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday in the church.
