Alice E. "Eileen" Schrimpf, age 89 of Cambridge, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Grant Medical Center. She was born on May 2, 1934 in Bloomfield, Ohio, a daughter of the late Russell Ross and Dorothy G. (Dickson) Ross.
Mrs. Schrimpf was a graduate of Bloomfield High School. During her kids early years, Eileen was the school room mother. She was a member and church organist for the First Baptist Church for over 42 years. Prior to that she played the organ at Second United Presbyterian Church. She played the organ at countless weddings and funerals in the area as well. Eileen enjoyed her many friendships made at the church and at the Guernsey County Senior Center. She also loved baking cookies and her famous Texas sheet cake right up to the end.
Eileen is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband of 62 years at his death, Craig G. Schrimpf; two daughters, Karen Babka and Diane Pennell; a granddaughter Kaitlin; a sister Joann Morrison; and a brother Ronnie Ross.
She leaves: a daughter Lisa (& Darryl) Hayes of West Jefferson; three grandchildren, Sarah (& Dani) Barada, Michael Kulp and Kelly Rochester; one great granddaughter Zoey Quinlan; and many friends.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 5 pm to 7 pm and on Saturday from 3 pm to 4 pm with services beginning at 4 pm. Pastor Dan Milburn will officiate. Following the service cremation will take place. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church at 136 E. 8th St. Cambridge, Ohio 43725.
