Larry L. Guthrie, age 70 of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, formerly of Cambridge, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at his residence. He was born on January 27, 1955 in Coshocton, Ohio, a son of the late Carl K. Guthrie and Ruth (Martin) Guthrie. Mr. Guthrie had worked at March Electric in Cambridge before becoming a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Otsego Baptist Church and the American Legion. Larry leaves: his wife Joyce L. (Miskimen) Guthrie; two children, Noel (& Daniel) Butler of Rocky Mount, NC and Jerald Guthrie of Newport News, VA; a grandson David Latham; a step-grandson Kevin Robinson; a sister Donna (& Fred) Shaw of Coshocton; a sister-in-law Vicki Guthrie; and several nieces and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by: his parents; and two brothers, Richard L. Guthrie and infant Gerald Guthrie. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Otsego Baptist Cemetery on Plainfield Road at 11 am. Pastor Aaron Quinn will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALS P.O. Box 37022 Boone, IA 50037 or to American Parkinson Disease Association P.O. Box 61420 Staten Island, NY 10306.
