Alice Snead, age 64, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2025, surrounded by those who loved her most.

Born to Gaylon Eugene Smith and Ella Mae Risley, Alice lived a life marked by deep love, quiet strength, and unwavering service. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, she served her country with honor before retiring and devoting herself fully to her family and community.

Alice was a true Gulf Coast girl-sun-loving, salt-air spirited, and never happier than when she was near the water. She made her home in Corpus Christi, where she found joy in the simple things: casting a fishing line and helping anyone who needed her. Her kindness ran deep, and her presence brought warmth and light to every room she entered.

She was married to the love of her life, Russell Snead, for 36 years. Together they built a home filled with laughter, loyalty, and unconditional love. She was a devoted mother to Drew Snead and Chelsea Lopez, and a proud grandma to her grandchildren, Mia and Levi Lopez, who were her absolute joy.

Alice is survived by her husband, Russell Snead; her children, Drew Snead and Chelsea Lopez; her grandchildren, Mia and Levi Lopez; her mother, Ella Mae Risley; her brother, Greg Smith; and her sister, Christine Westrup. She was preceded in death by her father, Gaylon Eugene Smith.

Alice will be laid to rest at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.

Her love, her strength, and her light will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
