Alice Louise Terry

Alice Louise Terry, age 89, of Roscommon, Michigan, died on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in the presence and comfort of her family.
Alice was born January 19, 1936, in Le Roy, Michigan, the daughter of Walter and Louise (Nellist) Hyde.
Alice was a dedicated Business and Typing Teacher at Roscommon High School for nearly 30 years. She found joy in spending time at Higgins Lake, and cherished moments with her family, including her 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Alice had a great fondness for the Florida Keys, where she loved to spend her winter months. Her passion for travel took her on many adventures. Additionally, Alice was an active member of St. Hubert's Catholic Church. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and the community she served.
Alice is survived by her children: Cheryl (Dennis) Szagesh of Higgins Lake: Lori (Larry) Fox of Higgins Lake; Mike (Amy Jo) Terry of Boyne City; Liz (Jerome) Moses of Hastings; her sister Diane Quaal of Higgins Lake; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband, James Terry.
Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Mass on May 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 7612 West Higgins Lake Drive, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.
The viewing of pictures before the funeral will be held to honor and celebrate the life of Alice Terry. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories through a display of photographs that capture her journey and cherished moments. This special time of reflection will take place prior to the funeral service (9:30 AM to 10:00 AM) allowing everyone to come together and remember Alice's life.
If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Alice's name to the Higgins Lake Foundation and St. Hubert Catholic Church.
