Alicia Covert Obituary
Alicia W. Covert, 80 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on August 13, 2024, at Altercare of Newark.
She was born on June 18, 1944, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Alphonse William Burkhard and Amelia Pauline (Archer) Burkhard. Alicia was a member of the Maranatha Bible Church in Zanesville for the last 45 years. She was self-employed, cleaning houses for many years and later served as a caregiver for Genesis. She loved reading her Bible and her daily devotional, watching hallmark movies, coloring, and puzzles. She enjoyed spending her free time with her loved ones.
Alicia is survived by her 2 children: Carina Schneider, Edgar "Adam" Covert; sister, Mollie Tysinger; 4 grandchildren: Alexis (Quentin) Salters, Timothy Scheider Jr., Jonathon Covert, Madison Covert; 1 great-grandson, Jaxon Rowlands; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 3 sisters: Nancy Burkhard, Camilla (Burl) Calendine, Sara (John) Reichart; son-in-law, Timothy Schneider Sr; brother-in-law, Tommy Tysinger.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday August 20, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will conclude services at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Zanesville.
