Alicia C. Deem
1970-2025
Alicia C Deem (nee Foote), 54, of Napa, CA, previously of Wayne and Phoenixville PA, passed away on January 22, 2025.
Alicia was born in Bryn Mawr, PA, the only child of David H. Foote III and Eileen S. Foote. She attended Holy Child School in Rosemont, PA, and completed high school at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova, PA. After graduating from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. with a degree in nursing, she worked as a cardiac step-down nurse for nine years at Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, PA.
Her love of fine wine and passion for creating special moments with family and friends led her to move to Napa, California to co-found Buccella, a boutique winery.
Recently, she returned to nursing and worked as an oncology nurse in the Martin O'Neil Cancer Center at Adventist Health St. Helena Hospital, in Napa, CA.
Alicia poured her heart into everything she did, whether caring for patients, running a winery, or raising her daughters. An artistic soul, she enjoyed participating in the performing arts in grade school and high school. She loved to laugh and make others laugh, bringing humor and positive energy to those around her. As an adult, Alicia brought the same love and compassion to all the patients under her nursing care. Her colleagues and fellow providers treasured her skill, warmth, and vibrant personality.
Alicia's greatest accomplishment and joy were her two daughters, Katrina and Tessa. She loved them unconditionally, to the inner most depths of her soul. Motherhood was her highest calling, and Alicia felt extraordinarily blessed to nurture, guide, and cherish her amazing daughters.
Family was everything to Alicia. She was a devoted mother, daughter, aunt, niece, and cousin. She was a loving friend and a great listener, always up for long talks. She loved traveling, going to the beach, and watching Philadelphia Eagles games.
Alicia was predeceased by her beloved parents, David and Eileen Foote, and her dear uncle and aunt, Charles and Marcia Whitall. She is survived by her darling daughters, Katrina and Tessa Deem and their father, Bill Deem of Napa, CA; her beloved cousin, Marilyn Beeson, and the Beeson family of Rob, Tristan, and Marina of Calvert County, MD; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and James Arnone, and her nieces, Katelyn, Haleigh, and Ellyssa Arnone of Philadelphia, PA.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Martin O'Neil Cancer Center at Adventist Health St. Helena Hospital.

I was so sorry to hear of Alicia´s early death. She was my first cousin, once removed and I only found her a few years ago after visiting her mom with my mother when I was a teen. Now, my mom, her mom, and Alicia are gone.
