Alicia Ann Hoffer (Mitchell), age 53, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 4, 2023 in her hometown of Columbus, OH. At the age of 21, she was in a severe car accident but against all odds and opinions of medical professionals, she survived. Although this accident caused her to have a traumatic brain injury, this did not stop her from setting and accomplishing goals in her life. At such a young age, she showed her family and friends the resilience and fight she had within her.
Alicia was an employee with the City of Columbus for 18 years. She surrounded herself with her loved ones and started a family. Eventually, she brought her beautiful son Julian into the world, he enhanced her strength and purpose. She was a strong-willed woman whose laugh would make a whole room break out into laughter. Her spunk and sense of humor left you with unforgettable memories with her. She was a die hard Ohio State Buckeyes fan and never missed a game. She loved music, fashion, jewelry, and most importantly coke with extra ice.
Alicia is survived by her son Julian, mother Susan (Steve), father Jerry (Debbie), and sister Christan (Shawn). She is also survived by her Uncle Gary (Helen), Uncle Eddie, Aunt Karen, Aunt Robin, and Aunt Sharon. Along with her nieces and nephew Shea (John), Miki (Trevor), Jacob (Elizabeth), Gabby and great-nephew Jameson. She was preceded in death by her sister Tricia, grandmother Elizabeth, grandfather Paul, and Uncle Kimmie. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the Jerry Spears Funeral Home of Hilliard 5471 Frazell Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026 Thursday from 4-7pm where memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday.

Alicia, oh how I am going to miss you. We were roommates who became good friends and even like sisters while we shared a room. I was hoping you'd make it back and we could be roommates again. I love you little sis, and am going to miss you greatly. May the Lord Bless You and Keep You Always. May he help your family during their time of grief. Love to you all. Angela

We are writing this with a heavy heart. Oh how we're going to miss you Alicia. We have such fawn memories of you and they will last us a life time. She was also the kindest, sweetest person you could ever hope to meet. She had the cutest smile, always seemed happy and her laughter was infectious and she sure did make everyone laugh. She had lots of struggles and hurtles for approximately 32 years but she was blessed as well. She found love, got married, had one son and was always surrounded by family who loved her. We will always remember our last hug, kiss and talk. She definitely left a wonderful impression on those that were lucky enough to meet her, and she is going to be missed so very much! God knew that she was tired and his work for her here was done. Although we weren't ready to let her go, HE needed her more. Our hearts are broken/shattered and although we may not understand the reasons why she had to leave us so soon, we need to take comfort for she is no longer tired, and is finally able to take rest. We will miss our beautiful sweet angel. Fly high baby girl, fly high. We pray for peace and healing. We will always love you and we will never forget you.
