Aline Landers Clemmer, 84, of Stanley passed away September 18, 2017. Ms. Clemmer was born in Madison County, NC on May 6, 1933. She is preceded by her parents George Andrew Hensley and Minta Landers Hensley and also her husband of 59 years, Harland L. Clemmer; Sisters, Mary and Martha Hensley, Dorothy “Dot” Henderson; Brothers, Raymond Milton Landers and Lawrence Hensley; and Grandchildren, David and Jackie Clemmer. Aline was a wonderful cook, loving mother and grandmother. She cherished her family and enjoyed visiting the mountains and also enjoyed the beach in her early years. She loved her home and was active in her yard and loved her pet dog “Sally” and cat “Tom”. Aline was a sweet and caring person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her children, Madeline Bledsoe and husband Charlie, Tommy Clemmer and wife Debra, and Danny Ray Clemmer and wife Amy; Sisters, Erline Henderson and Betty Burleson and husband Sonny; Brother, James Hensley and wife Sandy; Aunt, Roxi Landers Rector; 10 Grandchildren, Crystal, Tammy, Chad, Luann, Lewis, Paige, Dana, Pearl, Hannah and Seth; 20 Great-Grandchildren; 17 Great Great-Grandchildren; and special caring friend Ms. Dean Hovis. Funeral Services to celebrate Aline’s life will be held Saturday, September 23, at 3:30 p.m. at Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Kevin Kellogg and Dr. Danny Penny officiating. Interment to follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia NC. Visitation will be Friday, September 22, at the church from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church Youth Ministry, PO Box 298, Stanley, NC 28164 or New Testament Church of the Firstborn, 1510 Hargrove Ave., Gastonia, NC 28052.
