Alisa Kay Penn

Alisa Kay Penn, age 51, passed away on November 2, 2025, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Born on June 5, 1974, in Lake Charles to Richard William Penn and the late Betty Sue Penn.

Alisa spent most of her life in Kinder, Louisiana, where she was known for her kindness, stubborn determination, and deep love for the people and animals around her.

Alisa lived with a heart that never stopped giving. She had an incredible warmth that made others feel seen and cared for, and a quiet strength that carried her through life's challenges. She loved animals, especially cats, and cared for every creature that crossed her path. Her faith in God guided her daily, and she often found comfort and joy in prayer and worship.

A dreamer at heart, Alisa worked hard at everything she did, always striving to create a better life for those she loved. She also had a creative and playful side; her passion for video games brought her happiness and connection with others across the world. Alisa was also very passionate about music. She really loved music and expressed her spirit, strength, and love for life through it.

She is survived by her beloved children, Cody Allen Faustner and Christian Alexander Koehn; her cherished grandchildren, Mira Jane and Dante; her father, Richard William Penn; and her siblings, James Penn, Jenny Penn, and John Penn. Alisa also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever remember her laughter, generosity, and faith.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Sue Penn, and her brothers, Robert Penn and Daniel Penn.

Alisa will be remembered for her compassion, her unwavering love, and the light she brought to everyone around her. Though her time on Earth was too short, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A memorial service celebrating Alisa's life will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 315 N. 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue until the service at 2:00 p.m.
