Daphne Lynn Arabie

Daphne Lynn Cottongin Arabie, born September 13, 1963, in Oakdale, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, at the age of 62. A woman of deep faith in Christ, Daphne was a devoted member of Kinder Grace Church, where she found joy and strength in her spiritual life.
Known for her vibrant, colorful, and humorous personality, Daphne brought laughter and warmth to everyone around her. She had a remarkable green thumb, finding delight in nurturing flowers, plants, and her beloved garden. Daphne cherished reading her Bible, cooking heartfelt meals, and spending precious time with her family, who were the center of her world.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Anthony Arabie I; parents, Charlie Walter and Laura Marvinia Cottongin; son, Mark Anthony Arabie II; her cherished grandchildren, Hunter, Ethan, Nathan, Noah, and Devin; siblings, Angela Courville (and husband Allen), Rachel Fontenot (and husband Henry Jr.), and Corey Cottongin (and Sheena). Daphne was preceded in death by her brother, Forrest Craig Cottongin.
Daphne's legacy of love, faith, and joy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her memory will be cherished as a blooming garden, forever vibrant and full of life.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 8:30 a.m., until time of service at 10:00 a.m., in the Reed Chapel at Riley Smith & Sons, 315 North 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana. Reverend Jimmy White will be officiating. Interment will follow at Green Oak Cemetery in Kinder.
