Alison Lois (Malloch) Curran came into our lives when she married the love of her life, our father, John R. (Jack) Curran in 1973. They were together until his untimely passing in 1988. She quietly succumbed to old age on May 14th. Alison was born in Brooklyn April 3, 1934 to parents Elsie and John Malloch as their only child. She spent her early years in Verona, NJ and attended Hood College. After visiting California, she decided to move there. She worked as a technical educator for General Telephone in Santa Monica. She met Jack at the company twilight golf league and they married soon after. Alison was a very talented handicrafter. She was an active member of Rebecca's Reel Quilters of Middletown. Her work won many ribbons. She also was a prolific knitter and provided many warm caps for Lunch Break. Alison was an unassuming soul who was well loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her stepchildren, Kathleen Curran, Maureen Bacon, Richard Curran and her grand- and great-grandchildren all of California. Alison will be commended to the sea to rejoin Jack in a private ceremony. We, her, family hope that you honor and cherish your elders as much as we did Alison.
