Alison R. Ledwith, 45, of Saranac, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, August 20, 2024.
She was born in Plattsburgh on March 20, 1979, the daughter of Theodore and Pamela (Armstrong) Ledwith. Ali was raised in Peru, NY.
Alison faced a long-term battle with scleroderma and other autoimmune illnesses, and throughout her journey, she devoted herself to advocating for others and spreading awareness with relentless dedication.
She spent her childhood playing with her siblings and spending time with her family and friends. Alison met her life partner John Easton in high school. Alison was a stay-at-home mother. Her love for the Adirondacks was evident where she often spent her days berry picking, fishing in the lakes and rivers, and soaking in the sunshine. She was devoted to spending time with her loved ones. She had a deep passion for cooking, and the meals she lovingly prepared are cherished and remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of enjoying them.
Ali's life was a testament to unconditional love and selflessness, driven by her devotion to her two beloved daughters, her life partner and family. Her daughters were always inspired to pursue their dreams with her unwavering encouragement and support. She had an incredible ability to nurture everyone who crossed her path, leaving a lasting impression with her warmth and grace. Ali's laughter, smile, and sincere guidance and kind words of encouragement were gifts she freely gave, making her a beacon of genuine love for all who knew her. Her inner beauty shone brightly, creating a soothing presence that seemed to accompany her wherever she went. Ali will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the memories of those she has connected with.
Survivors include her life partner, John Easton; two daughters, Kailah Holder and Karli Easton; mother, Pamela Ledwith; father, Theodore Ledwith; sisters, Kirsten Raye, Hilarie Ledwith, Katie Perrone, Sara Ledwith, and brother, Ryan Ledwith. Alison has several nieces and nephews who brought so much joy to her life. The legacy of Alison's kind spirit and the value of family will live on through them.
