Alison Catherine Rosaen, age 45 of Okemos, Michigan passed away on November 20, 2025.

She was born on July 19, 1980 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to her parents, Lars (Lorraine Duarte) Rosaen and Leslie Rosaen (née Bauman) (John Warner). Alison was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, partner to Jeff Gilkey, and friend whose presence brought warmth, kindness, and light to everyone who knew her.

Alison is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by her sister Ashley (Robert) Staszak; her nephews August, Oscar, and Lars Staszak, who adored their Aunt Alison; and many cousins, extended family members, and friends whose lives she touched.

Alison loved dance as a young girl, and became Junior Miss Dance of Michigan. A proud graduate of Michigan State University, Alison carried her Spartan spirit throughout her life. She played ice hockey on the MSU Club Team, played ice hockey at Cranbrook Kingswood, and with her teammates, won the first ever Women’s State Championship. She loved trivia, and was a trivia master, hosting trivia events all over the Lansing area. She was known for her gentle heart, sharp wit, the very best sense of humor, and the unwavering love she showed to her family. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and love she shared so freely.

Alison loved spending time at the family cottage in Benzie County, Michigan. Those who wish to honor the memory of Alison Catherine Rosaen are invited to consider a contribution to Crystal Lake Watershed Association, https://my.crystallakewatershed.org/page-1075173.
