Allan "Al" P. Baumgartner, age 95, of Hartford, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, at Froedtert West Bend Hospital.
Al was born on July 9th, 1929, in Richfield, WI, to parents, Alroy and Annie (nee Brugger) Baumgartner. Al graduated from Slinger High School and went on to proudly served his country in the Army as an Infantryman in the Korean War. He was an avid big game hunter in Alaska, Canada, and Western States and enjoyed trap shooting.
Al is survived by his daughter, Katherine Dei; grandsons, Justin, Brandon (Shelly), Ehren Dei; and great-grandchildren, Harper, Carter, and Parker Dei; stepdaughter, Susan (Richard) Raasch; and step-grandsons, Ross and Craig Bever. He is further survived by extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alroy and Annie Baumgartner; wife, Edna Baumgartner; sisters, Alice (Roman) Becker and Mildred (Harold) Schuetz; and son-in-law, James Dei.
Memorial Contributions to the American Diabetes Association (P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023), and or the United Cerebral Palsy (8401 Old Courthouse Rd., Vienna, VA, 22182) are greatly appreciated.
The Family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Cornerstone Assisted Living for their care and compassion.
A Graveside Service for Al will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on Friday, October 11th, 2024, (1185 Sumner St., Hartford, WI 53027) at 2:30 p.m. with Military Honors.
