Allan "Chris" Carroll

Allan Christopher Carroll, known affectionately as Chris, passed away on October 1, 2025. Born on January 15, 1970, in Wellington, KS, Allan was a dedicated, loving, and compassionate man who spent most of his life in service to others. He worked tirelessly at Carroll Glass for over 30 years where he replaced car windshields, house windows, picture framing, and various other things. He worked as a stocker/receiver in the retail industry, notably serving for eight years at Lowe's. He will be remembered not only for his funny and uplifting spirit but also for his meticulous care of his lawn, a testament to his unwavering dedication.
Allan's greatest pride, however, was his family. He was a loving husband to his wife, Betsy, and a dedicated father to his sons, Christopher and Timothy Wonser. He enjoyed golfing with his son and cherished the time he spent with his family, particularly spoiling his grandchildren. Allan had a special bond with his father, David Carroll, and was always there to lend a helping hand or share a laugh.
Allan is survived by his father, David Carroll; his wife, Betsy Carroll; his sons, Christopher (Alyssa) Wonser and Timothy Wonser; his grandchildren, Madalynn, Wyatt, Elijah, Paige, and Jesse Wonser; his sister-in-law, Michele (Stephen) Housel; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and a loving extended family. His compassion, love, and dedication will continue to live on through them.
Allan was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Carroll; his mother-in-law, Nancy Rockwell; his grandparents, John and Alice Carroll and Zelda and Ervin Courtright; and his uncle, Dale Carroll. Each of them played a significant role in shaping the remarkable man Allan became.
Visitation will take place at Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1030 Mission Road, Wellington, Kansas, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 2-7PM with family present from 5-7PM. The funeral service will be held at Wellington Church of Christ, 217 West 13th Street, Wellington, Kansas, on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Avenue of Flags. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
