Allan Chapman, 70 of Manalapan, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Jersey Shore Medical Center.
Born Tuesday, May 11, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York, Allan was the son of the late Jay and Gloria Chapman.
Allan was raised in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn. He was a graduate of Madison High School, and then he furthered his education at Brooklyn College.
Allan would meet the love of his life, Karla Schwartz. Allan and Karla married in October of 1981. They would start a family of their own in Brooklyn, before moving to Ossining, NY. In 1993 the family settled in Manalapan, NJ.
Allan had a long career in Automotive Sales. He spent a large part of his career with the Autoland Car dealership and then with World Jeep. When Allan wasn't working he enjoyed spending time cheering for his favorite sports teams, the NY Yankees, Giants, Knicks, and Rangers. However, in recent years his #1 team was any sports team his grandson, Nixen, was playing on. He enjoyed the many summer vacations he spent with his family. More than anything Allan was a loving family man, who loved every minute spent with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all those that love him, and his memory will be a blessing.
Allan is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Karla, by his loving children, Bryan Chapman (Christine), and Gabrielle Teta (Cliff), by his grandchildren, Nixen, AJ, Fiona, and Brayden, by his brother Marc Chapman (Bonnie), and by his sister in law Hillary Zlatin (Murray), and brother in law Bruce Schwartz (Patti).
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Hegarty Scalia Home for Funerals and Cremation Services, 3377 US Highway 9 Old Bridge, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Hegarty Scalia Home for Funerals and Cremation Services located at 3377 US Highway 9 Old Bridge Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857. Interment will be in Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Morganville, NJ
