Alan W Crumm, age 82, passed away peacefully at home today, August 26, 2024. He was born in Johnson City, New York on June 14, 1942, son of W Raymond Crumm and Laura (Cook) Crumm. He grew up in Binghamton, New York and attended Alfred University where he studied horticulture. He was honorable discharged from the Navy after serving from 1965-1966. On September 21, 1968, he married Ethel (Domina) Crumm and they raised three children: Kimberly, Richard (Vicki), and Robert (Micheline) Crumm all of whom survive him. He was predeceased by both of his parents, his brother David, and his sister Marilyn. Alan and his family lived in South Glastonbury, CT for 36 years before retiring in 2007. In Connecticut he worked for Cascio Nursery, East Hartford Nursery, Shop Rite Floral Dept, and British Precision. After retiring, they moved to South Carolina. In his retirement he loved to do puzzles, play Bingo, and travel. Internment will be in Newport Center Cemetery, Newport Center, Vermont at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Shriners Hospital.
