Christian Biography of Allan Ray Everhart
Allan Ray Everhart, a devoted husband and loving father, was born on January 24, 1955 in Belleville, Kansas to Harold and Olive (Owen) Everhart. He passed away on August 21, 2025, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska, at the age of 70 years, 6 months, and 28 days.
Allan was baptized on April 30, 2006 at Burr Oak Methodist Church by Rev. Laura Fricker. He grew up in Belleville and answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army, where he also earned his GED and received the expert hand grenade medal and marksmanship medal for the M-16 rifle and .45 pistol. His service led him to serve for 3 years as a military police officer in Germany. On May 19, 1979, Allan was united in marriage to Rita Marie Robinson at the Congregational Church in Smith Center, Kansas. Their union was a blessing from God, and together they raised four children, building a family grounded in love, faith, and resilience.
Allan spent his working years as a Foreman in the manufacturing industry, where he was known for his strong work ethic and leadership. But his greatest joy was found in the simple blessings of life - fishing, camping, cooking, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren. His fried chicken was legendary among family and friends, and his tomatoes were always canned with care and pride. Allan rarely missed a sporting event for his children or grandchildren, faithfully showing his support and love throughout their lives.
Throughout his life, Allan lived in many Kansas and Nebraska communities - Belleville, Kackley, Republic, Goodland, Smith Center, Lebanon, Mankato, Superior, and lastly in Deshler, where he resided at Parkview Haven.
Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Olive; his brothers Harold (Le Thi), Robert "Bobby," and Donald "Hod" (Darlene); and his sisters Wanda (LaVern) Bergstrom, Betty (Marvin) Scrivner, Jackie Sjolander, and Sheryl Sjolander.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rita; his children Terry (Kelly) Everhart, Charles (sweetie) Everhart, Angela (Jessie) Beam, and Tracy (Jared) Gunn, all of Superior; six grandchildren, Deja Neilson, Tyler Everhart, Katelyn Everhart, Jackson Beam, Gabriella Gunn, and Quartus Gunn and one great-grandson, Daxx; a brother, Jimmy (Thelma) Everhart of Canon City, Colorado and a sister Barbara (Michael) Mosher of Concordia, Kansas, brothers-in-law Bud Sjolander of Concordia and Con Sjolander of Oklahoma; along with many extended family members and a host of dear friends.
