Allan Dell Newton of Goshen, Utah passed away at home on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the age of 92 years old. He was born May 26, 1932 in Mona, Utah to Fred and Arvilla Gwen Boswell Newton.
Allan served in the US Air Force in Japan during the Korean war. Upon discharge from the military, he returned home and married Iris Finch and they started their family. He worked at Dugway Proving Ground as a heavy equipment operator for many years.
He served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints over the years including a senior mission with his wife in England. In his later years, he enjoyed the outdoors, reading, traveling and spending time with family. He was a beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by a brothers Don Newton and Reed Newton, a sister Nadine Green, and a son Ronald Gene Newton. He is survived by his wife, Iris Finch Newton, a brother Von Newton, a sister Kathy Sherwood, sons Allan Dell Newton, Jr. (Paula) and Wayne Lyle Newton (Lisa Cae), numerous grandkids and great grandkids.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 13th at 11:00 am at the Goshen LDS Church, 78 So. Center Street. A viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:45 am at the church prior to the services. Interment with military honors will be at the Goshen Cemetery
