Allan Wilbur Packard, 75 of Spencer, Ohio passed away Monday, February 5, 2024 following a lengthy illness.
He was born April 24, 1948 in Lodi, Ohio to the late Wilbur and Margaret (Walkden) Packard. Allan was a life-time resident of Spencer, graduating from Black River High School in 1966. He married Juanita Wagner on June 29, 1968. Allan had worked for Spencer Tire and Smetzer's Tire, and was currently employed at North Gateway Tire in Medina and Seville. He also farmed in his spare time. Allan was a member of Spencer United Methodist Church and was an avid supporter of 4-H and FFA.
He is survived by his children, Carolyn Simpson and Scott (Helen) Packard;
eight grandchildren, Roger (Michelle), Justin (Nicole), Cory (Olivia), Sarah (Matt), Jonathan (Emily), Kyle (Alichia), Suzanne, and Cameron; four great-grandchildren, Lane, Avery, Clayton, and Alaina; sister, Elaine (Rick) McQuate; sisters-in-law; brothers in law; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita in 2013; and daughter, Tammy Baker in 2015.
Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Spencer United Methodist Church, 201 East Main St., Spencer, where his funeral service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11 a.m. Rev. Bob Ludwig will officiate. Burial will follow at Spencer Cemetery.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to either Black River High School FFA, or to Medina County 4-H Endowment Fund.
