Rose Kungl Obituary

She was born August 15, 1935 in Mandicevac, Croatia to the late Matthew and Maria (Toth) Zimmerman. Her family came to the U.S. in 1951, settling in Akron where Rose later worked at Woolworth's. On January 5, 1956, she married George Kungl in Akron. They resided in Chatham a short time before moving to Spencer, where they had farmed most of their lives. Rose enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking, as well as the company of her many grandchildren. She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Litchfield.
She is survived by her children, Andreas (Hannelore) Foltyn of Akron, Roseann (Albert) Kungl of Uniontown, Mary Ann (Matthew, deceased) Rutherford of Lodi, George Jr. (Janet) Kungl of Lodi, Margie (John) Lilley of Minerva, Nick (Phyllis) Kungl of Chatham, Frank (Virginia) Kungl of Cuyahoga Falls; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Matthew Zimmerman of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband George, and half siblings, John Dyak, Julia Pherschi, and Anna Novak.
Funeral services were held at Parker Funeral Home, 202 East Main St., Spencer, OH. Father Ed Suszynski officiated. Burial was in Spencer Cemetery.
