Richard Warren Gott, 96 of Spencer, Ohio passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025 at Hospice of the Western Reserve in Medina, Ohio. He was born October 20, 1928 in Wellington, Ohio to Paul and Irene (McBurney) Gott.

Richard grew up in the Wellington and Spencer area, residing in Spencer most of his life. He was a long-time dairy and crop farmer, and was also employed by General Motors for 31 years, before retiring in 1981. Richard was a member of the U.A.W., Farm Bureau, and Spencer United Methodist Church. He enjoyed square dancing, roller skating, camping, attending local sporting events, following NASCAR, and visiting Amish country.

He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Lois (nee Jackson), whom he married on July 9, 1949 in Kentucky; children, Linda (Chuck) Burrows, Warren Gott (Debbie), Becky (Roger) Moutoux, Beverly (Dennis) Hibbs, and Russell Gott (Kitty); 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Harold (Carol) Gott; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Naomi Searl; and brothers, Myron, Paul, and Lloyd.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Spencer Cemetery in Spencer, Ohio. Rev. Robert Ludwig will officiate.
