Allan Parque Obituary

August 10, 1937 - April 7, 2023 Brea It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Allan Anthony Parque, 85, of Brea, CA, passed away on April 7, 2023. Born August 10, 1937, in Los Angeles, CA, to Sal and Rose Parque, Al graduated from Huntington Park High School in 1955. He and his wife, Judy, and their 4 children moved from South Gate, CA, to Brea, CA, in 1973. As a youth in the 50s, Al pumped gas around the corner from his dad's barbershop. He was one of the first drivers of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, traveling up and down the state of California on promotional tours. He also spent some time as a machinist. However, with his gift of gab, he spent his career as a salesman for Hartz Mountain Pet Supplies. Al cherished his wife Judy. They married in 1960 and were side by side until 2010 when she preceded him in death. Nothing made Al happier than to be in the High Sierra mountains, fishing, smoking cigars, and chatting with anyone who would listen to his tall tales. Al is survived by his children, David (Janell) Parque, Michael Parque, Terri (Steve) Cook, and Christy Parque, three grandchildren: Rachel Parque, Joshua Parque, and Emily Cook, as well as his brother Ronald (Nancy) Parque, nieces Tobey (Jerry) Furlong, Leslie Parque, Brooke Cook, and nephew Robert S. Cook. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. A private celebration of Al's life will be held on April 26, 2023.
