Allan Doris "Dorsie" Roberson

Allan Doris "Dorsie" Roberson, age 93, of Leedale, Texas passed away during the morning hours on Saturday, December 6, 2025. She was born in Troy, Texas on the 13th day of February 1932 to parents Edgar Allen Randolph & Wilma Catherine Lancaster.
Dorsie was born and raised in Troy, Texas where she attended primary school and then went on to senior high, graduating in 1949. That same year, Dorsie married the love of her life, Weldon G Roberson, in Troy. Celebrating their Honeymoon in the big city of San Antonio, the young couple's marriage soon led to building a home and raising a family together. Living in the "not-so Big City" of Leedale, Texas, and owning & managing the Leedale Cotton Gin on the Family Property. Dorsie and her husband built the foundations necessary for all of her loved ones and the many generations her presence inspired. Apart from dealing with her stubborn husband, Dorsie also worked for the State of Texas at the Bell County Health Department for many years. Once she retired, she spent much of her time traveling with Weldon across the country, seeing nearly every state, and always collecting a magnet from every destination.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Weldon Roberson, infant daughter Jill Ann Roberson, Parents, Edgar Allen Randolph & Wilma Catherine Lancaster,
and siblings Ruth, Jackie & Billy Randoph.
Dorsie leaves behinds her beloved daughter Nancy Gayle Jones of the Holland area, son Gary Roberson and wife Julie of San Antonio, grandchildren Justin & Faith Roberson, Ryan Doskocil, Megan Jones & David Lamb, Alan Roberson & Casea Davis, along with many Great Grand-Children and Great Great Grand-Children, and Brother Wayne Randolph and wife Elaine, sister Judy Gill and husband John, and sister Jane Randolph, as well as many nieces, nephews, 49er's, and good friends.
On the Morning of Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 11am, a Family and Friend Service will be held at the Hewett-Arney Funeral Home 14 W Barton Ave. Temple, Texas. Allan Doris Roberson's Remembrance will be Followed by a Private Graveside Service at Roberts Cemetery in Troy.
In lieu of flowers, Dorsie has requested all donations be made to Robert's Cemetery c/o Ross Smith, Treasurer, 119 Ellis Ave., Troy, TX, 76579.
