Allen L. Barlow, 77, a resident of Elkins passed from this life Thursday, September 4, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Mountain Hospice. He had been in declining health.

Allen was born Tuesday, July 6, 1948, in Ellamore, a son of the late Alfred and Bernice Barlow. He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Carol Daff Barlow who resides in Elkins.

Also left to cherish Allen's memory are two sons, Casey Barlow and Jamie Barlow, both of Elkins, a daughter, Ashley Fraley and husband, Frankie, of Slab Fork, six grandchildren, Kaden, Ben, and Gavin Barlow of New Martinsville, Reghan, Audrey and Lincoln Fraley of Slab Fork, one brother, James Barlow of Elkins, two sisters, Beverly Keefer of Norton and JoAnn Akers of Montrose, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Allen in death besides his parents six siblings, David, Charles, and Gary Barlow, Nora Mae Healey, Barbara McCauley, and Margaret Gum.

Allen attended the schools of Tucker County and had worked for Kingsford Charcoal Company for twenty-four years before becoming disabled in 2000. He adored his grandchildren as they meant everything to him. He was dearly loved and will be missed greatly by his family and friends.

Allen's request for cremation will be honored with no services planned. The family has expressed their gratitude to the staff of Mountain Hospice for their kindness, care, and compassion during this difficult time.
