William Gibson Obituary

William was born Monday, August 3, 1936, in Elkins, a son of the late Solomon Ryan Gibson and Emma Smith Gibson.
Left to cherish his memory is one son, Jeffrey Gibson of Kansas, one daughter, five grandchildren, two siblings, Guy Gibson of Elkins, and Connie Boyles of Kentucky.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was one son, Solomon Earl Gibson, four brothers, and four sisters.
William is a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean conflict. He was a member of HW Daniels Post #29 in Elkins.
A graveside service will be held in the American Legion's Little Arlington Cemetery in Elkins Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Noon. Members of HW Daniels Post #29, American Legion, Tygart Valley Post #3647, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the WV Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
