Bob was born Tuesday, February 18, 1947, in Morgantown, a son of the late Boyd Murphy and Mary Louise Allender Murphy. On October 4, 1983, in Elkins, he married the former Wilda Mae "Connie" Arbogast.
Also left to cherish his memory are two children, Robert Pratt Jr. and wife Sherry Riegel Pratt, Kimbra Leah Pratt, grandson, Tyler Fortney, and siblings, Linda Helmick, and David Murphy.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was one stepson, Charles Ernest Fortney, Jr., two siblings, William Keith Pratt, and Debbie Arlene Arbogast.
Bob attended school in Tucker County. He had been employed with the Western Maryland Railroad and owned Bob's Novelties and Gifts from 1986-1997. Bob enjoyed camping and fishing and was known for being a clock repairman. He was a member of the Nazarene Church of Elkins.
A graveside service will be conducted on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Elkins Memorial Gardens on Country Club Road. Rev. Lonnie Daniels will officiate.
