Allen J. Becker

Allen Joseph Becker, age 69 of Middletown, DE, passed away on March 28, 2025.
He was born on March 17, 1956, to the late Joseph and Helen "Betty" Becker in Milford, DE.
Allen went to Del Tech Vocational High School and graduated in 1974. He then enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps serving from 1974-1977. Allen was very proud to serve his country with the Marine Corps. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal. While serving he was an Embassy Guard in Thailand, Kuwait, Bangladesh, Cambodia, and Panama. His decorations included Rifle Marksmanship, Good Conduct Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.
After completing his military service, Allen worked for Christiana Care Health System from 1977-2016. While there, he attended the Delaware State Constable Academy. Allen then served as a constable with the rank of Sargent at Christiana Care. Following his time at Christiana Care, he was with American Canine Doggie Daycare and Training. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Allen enjoyed spending time in Mexico, once he and Michelle drove to Mexico with the dog, Koda. He loved spending time with his grandchildren; Allen enjoyed tending to his chickens and goats.
In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry.
Allen is survived by his wife of 12 years, Michelle, children, Graham Becker (Kate) of Wilmington, DE; Kirstie Hernandez (Gabriel) of Middletown, DE; brother Flip Becker (Kate) of Newark, DE; sister Dawn Huss (Denny) of Naples, FL, and grandchildren, Emmaline Holmes, and Gabriel Hernandez of Middletown, DE, his stepson, Mark Garvey, his father-in-law, Robert Ferguson and his brother-in-law, Bob Ferguson. He is also survived by his furbaby, Koda, grand furbabies Seth and Layla.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE, from 10 – 11 AM. A memorial service will begin at 11 AM. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
