Allen John Brunet, 89, of Ethel, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at his residence. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2025, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Tabernacle Cemetery. Rev. Matt Steed will officiate the services.
Allen was born May 3, 1936, to Armond Brunet, Jr. and Alicia Pitre Brunet in Galliano, Louisiana. He married the love of his life, Dixie Hebert Brunet, on October 17, 1957, and was married for 67 years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Allen was a member of Ethel Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and former Sunday School teacher.
Allen is survived by his son, Allen (Julia) Brunet, Jr. of Galliano, Louisiana; daughter, Lynne Brunet of Ethel, Mississippi; grandson, Joshua Brunet; great-granddaughter, Bailey Brunet; brothers, Armond Brunet, III, Gerald Brunet, Lawrence Brunet, and Kirby Brunet; and sisters, Alice Hendrix and Christine Cheramie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Armond Brunet, Jr., and Alicia Guidry Brunet, and grandson, Jace Brunet.
Serving as pallbearers are Novice Adams, Kevin Sprayberry, Johnny Clark, Joshua Brunet, Scott Dempsey, and Allen Brunet, Jr.
