In the year 2025, the Prince of Darkness was called home. It only makes sense that our father, brother and uncle, Christopher James Posteraro would be too.

Chris was the unknowing Patriarch of our family. The protector, the teacher, the hellraiser and the creator of chaos. He was the one who instilled Family First in each of us, not just in words but in actions, because he was always the first to show up for all of us. He would burn cities to the ground, with no hesitation, if anyone messed with those he loved. He leaves behind an army of people who truly thought he walked on water, not only because he went out of his way to build those relationships, but he showed up for them too. He wasn't just a father, brother or an uncle. He was a best friend, especially to his brother, his sisters and his oldest niece.

He left his legacy to be carried on through his Sons Vincent Posteraro and Garrick Posteraro along with Garrick’s better half Jordan Prinzi; He left behind, in chronological order to avoid any fights about who was his favorite: Sisters- Cathy Ann Flaherty, Audrey Posteraro, and Tabitha Barrett; Brother-Michael Posteraro; Nieces-Christina Johnson along with her Husband Christopher Johnson, who was more often to referred to by Chris as “Mr Handsome”, and their children Corey, Anna, Haliy, Kamryn, Gabrielle, Jasmine, and Dyani; Harley Barrett and partner Aris; Angelise and her Daughter Serena; Shalyn Barrett and her son, who was his birthday “Leo twin”, Bran; Gabriella Traviglia and partner Berto, and youngest niece and mini chaos coordinator Michaela Jawor; Nephews-David Adamson and sons David and Christian, Ray Braunstein and daughter Riverlynn, Justin Larowe along with his wife Aliyah and daughters Avayah and Justine, Taylor Buckell, Andrew Lugo, Saire Hudson, and the “baby boy” of the nephews Orian Barrett. He also leaves behind his “partners in crime” over the years and across the country, in no particular order; Kenneth Farrell, Joe Welsh, Allen Yee, Chris Sed, Marc Larsen, AJ Johnson, Angela Labiner, Phil and Dana D’Amato, Marc D’Amato, Kevin “Moose” Rehault, Alisha Posteraro-Buckingham, Chris Moffett, Chuckles, Wyatt Frazier, Mechie, Teresa Vaughn and the 2 who made sure to keep him together during the wee hours of the night from the time his wife became sick until his own final days, Zach Campbell along with his babies Ophy and Cohen and his Nacker Wham.

Waiting on him with open arms and more than likely running full speed to get to him first was his son Shawn Posteraro, while his Wife Caterina Posteraro was most likely yelling at him for not getting to her faster, with his Niece Karinn Barrett sitting in the driver seat of the Bus ready for him to get on, his Best friend David Farrell with the music as loud as it can go and numerous other family members and friends anxiously waiting for the afterlife party to begin.

Chris was a lifelong Boston Bruins fan, declaring the solid truth behind the statement that hockey is the superior sport. Chris loved all kinds of music from every era and genre, although he would most often be found front and center of any mosh pit, bringing Rambozo at his finest to life. As he got older, he learned to enjoy the simpler things in life, such as watching his grass grow, plotting on how to become the next Mayor of Ethel, and turning his shop in to “The Shop”, where everyone was welcome as long as they brought him beer. One of his greatest contributions to his local community in Mississippi was teaching all the neighborhood kids the art of throwing darts, giving them a positive way to spend their time. He was fondly named Pops by those who knew him.

Chris lived life to the fullest. He wasn't just the life of the party, he brought the party, and quite often the cops too, especially Sergeant Blake Burns, who was the only Officer he ever considered a friend. And if there wasn't a party happening, he would make one up, because he knew laughter and a good time can get you through anything. Life had not been kind to him, but you would never know it.

Our world is a whole lot quieter, and lacking the glitter and unicorns that brought us all to tears laughing, but we are forever thankful that out of all the people in this world, he was ours and we were his.

A memorial service will be held at a later date on his lawn.
