Allen Burnett, age 63, of Sheridan, went to be with the Lord on August 16, 2021.
Born Charles Allen Burnett, Jr. on December 12, 1957 at Los Angeles, CA, he was a son of the late Charles Burnett and Artie Geraldine Jones Burnett. He moved to Arkansas as a child and attended school in Pottsville before moving to Gould to make his home with his grandmother. The majority of his adult years were spent in the Pine Bluff area.
Allen worked in construction, specializing in sheetrock and drywall. He had worked for G&M, Horton, and Platinum Drywall Companies. He had worked at the Little Rock Air Force Base for MW Services as a supervisor in drywall services.
He was a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Allen loved being outdoors, whether it be working in the yard, fishing, or hunting. He adored his grandchildren and spent lots of time, love, and was very patient with them.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert Burnett.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Jett Burnett, whom he married on June 17, 1994 at Pine Bluff; his children, Amanda Stanfield (Scott), Andrea Adams (Owen), Mariah Johnson (Chris), Brian Bramlett (Karen), and Hope Jett; a brother, Roy Burnett; three sisters, Mary Williams, Marilyn Stultz, and Patricia Bonnes; and seven grandchildren, Holley Stanfield, Willow Adams, Annabelle Adams, Maylea Johnson, River Johnson, Zachary Bramlett, and McKenzie Bramlett.
Allen's funeral service will be held Friday, August 20, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at Lee Cemetery with Brother Mike Powell officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery and strongly request that guests wear masks, even though outside. Arrangements are by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.
